The Ilsted range carries real heritage. Created by the late Poul Ilsted Bech — affectionately known as Mr Bulldog, one of Denmark’s most celebrated pipe makers — these blends were his personal everyday mixtures, each numbered rather than named. Today they are lovingly produced by Kopp Tobacco, preserving every recipe exactly as Poul intended. Mild, smooth and beautifully aromatic, the Own Mixture series is a fitting tribute to a craftsman who dedicated his life to the pipe.

A blend of Dark and Light Virginias with a touch of Burley and Kentucky, rounded out with Dark Cavendish and finished with a topping of vanilla and almond. No. 66 is a step up in body from No. 55 — fuller and slightly nuttier, with a wonderfully sweet, biscuity room note.
